Service Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment with Mobile Mechanic Nearby, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully.

Parts Warranty Policy

Mobile Mechanic Nearby always uses OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) lifetime warranty parts whenever possible. In some cases, we may use aftermarket parts that meet or exceed OE specification.

Parts warranty claims are handled through the parts supplier, not through Mobile Mechanic Nearby. We will assist you in facilitating any warranty claims on parts we sourced and installed.

Customer-Supplied Parts Policy

If you choose to supply your own parts, the following terms apply:

  • Labor rate for customer-supplied parts is $150/hour (vs. $100/hour for our-sourced parts).
  • Mobile Mechanic Nearby is responsible only for the correct installation of customer-supplied parts.
  • No warranty is provided on customer-supplied parts if the part does not resolve the issue.
  • Customer must supply all parts and supplies, including gaskets, hardware, sealants, and fluids necessary for the repair.
  • Complaints regarding customer-supplied parts installations must be submitted within 24 hours of service completion.
  • Mobile Mechanic Nearby is not responsible for aesthetic match, design defects, or quality control issues on customer-supplied parts.
  • We will verify fit before beginning work. If customer-supplied parts do not fit, Mobile Mechanic Nearby retains the right to bill for time spent attempting installation.

Diagnosis Policy

A callout and diagnosis is the recommended first step before any repair. The diagnostic fee is $100.

  • If a customer waives Mobile Mechanic Nearby's diagnostic service, no free diagnosis will be provided after the repair — even if the repair does not resolve the issue.
  • Mobile Mechanic Nearby will not rely on diagnoses from other mechanics or shops.
  • The diagnosis covers the specific issue described to the technician at the time of service.
  • Fluid and electrical issues follow the "path of least resistance" — repairing one component may reveal additional underlying issues that were previously masked.

Pre-Purchase Inspection Policy

Pre-purchase inspections are $175 and are non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • The inspection is a visual inspection only. We will not put "hard tools" to a vehicle being inspected.
  • When exact measurement is not possible, we provide our best professional assessment and notes.
  • For consigned or publicly listed vehicles, we recommend placing a deposit with the seller before booking your inspection.
  • If the vehicle sells before the inspection can be completed, the deposit is non-refundable but will be honored for one week toward a new vehicle inspection within 5 miles of the original location.

Scheduling & Appointment Policy

  • Only the 9:00 AM appointment time is guaranteed to start at 9:00–9:15 AM.
  • Subsequent appointment times are filled as the previous appointment completes. Customers should be prepared for service throughout the day.
  • Mobile Mechanic Nearby will provide ETA windows and communicate proactively about timing.
  • We will not start jobs we cannot finish the same day. Unfinished work will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
  • Failure to be present when the technician arrives may result in cancellation of the appointment and forfeiture of your non-refundable deposit.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Deposits are non-refundable for missed, forfeited, or cancelled appointments. The deposit secures your calendar time.
  • 48 business hours notice is required for all rescheduling requests.
  • Booking an appointment constitutes agreement to all terms and conditions listed on this page.
  • Mobile Mechanic Nearby will attempt to find an alternative service or reschedule when possible, but reserves the right to retain the deposit in full.

Weather Cancellations

If weather conditions prevent safe service, Mobile Mechanic Nearby will reach out and reschedule your appointment at no additional cost. Customers should not cancel on their own due to weather — let us contact you to reschedule.

Payment & Key Retention Policy

  • Mobile Mechanic Nearby retains the right to keep customer keys until any outstanding balance is paid in full.
  • Failure to pay within one business week will result in the maximum legal interest rate being applied to the outstanding balance.
  • A $75 fee will be charged for key delivery once the bill is paid.

Travel & Service Area

  • Standard service area: 20-mile radius from Westminster, CO (near I-25 and 120th).
  • Extended travel: $50 per 30 minutes of driving beyond the standard service area.
  • For jobs exceeding $500 in parts and labor, the extended travel fee may be waived.

Services We Do Not Perform

  • Overhaul repairs: Engine swaps/builds, timing belt service, and transmission replacement/rebuild are generally recommended for a brick-and-mortar shop due to the scope and environment required.
  • A/C service: We can replace A/C components, but freon must be captured and recharged by a certified shop.
  • Tire service: We do not offer tire service in-house. We work with trusted third-party providers for tire needs.

Limitation of Liability & Arbitration

Clients agree to hold harmless Mobile Mechanic Nearby of any damages, liabilities, or other penalties arising from services rendered. Any legal concerns or disputes will be handled by a third-party arbitrator.

Right to Refuse Service

Mobile Mechanic Nearby maintains the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, for any reason.
